If you live anywhere near to Notts or Northants, two of the Admins have genuine TechII's.

If not, depending on where you are located, someone near to you may have a 'Cheapo TechII' and might be willing to help you.

Where are you located?

Hello Sir,

It would seem we have the same problem.....I replaced the first lamber sensor last week, I thought it was a cheap fix, as the garage suggested a new CAT. My 2.2 was running fantastic, until the next day, when I wanted to do a basil faulty and beat the car with a large branch.........My car went in some limp mode followed by no throttle and chugging on 2-3 pistons..I attempted 20 re-starts, nothing then I gave up and started looking at Audi's on auto trader.  I cannot afford another car, so today I tinkered with it, started it up, it seemed  better, while it was running I disconnected the lamber sensor, and got my throttle back. I turned the engine off and re-started and it came out of limp mode, but the engine management light was still on. It runs fine.....I too am baffled and fed up with my bloody car, it looks really nice has a huge interior and a good spec, but it has very poor electrics. If you find an answer please let me know....kind regards :y

The key is to get the codes read.  :y

It there's no-one near you with a code reader take it to a local garage and tell them you want to know what codes are stored (not what bits they'd like to change!) then post here.

Failing that get a "cheapo tech 2" (something like this: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Opel-Tech-2-Vauxhall-Diagnostic-Car-Code-Reader-OBD_W0QQitemZ270224075301QQihZ017QQcategoryZ30921QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem) and ead the codes yourself. Be aware that the software for these is rubbish, a lot of it is in Hungarian and it's fussy on what PC it runs. You'll need a 1GHz plus laptop with a real serial port (USB adaptors rarely work).

I must admit I am fed up with getting the codes read as they seem to come up with pretty much the same thing each time.
1. lambda sensor - changed
2.MAF - changed
3. Throttle body and breathers cleaned as per schedule. I know I have asked before but surely you should clean out the rocker cover as it is in between the breather pipes? Can anyone give an answer to this please!
