I had my 2.2 converted to LPG now the car stays in gear longer and I have to feather the throttle to get it to drop bit of a pain when driving round town computer tells me 11 mpg untill it drops a cog .
I now know it is fine when running on petrol so I know its to do with loss of power so my question is could I get software upgraded to try and make box drop as with petrol in other words try and make it think a 2 litr or something I dont know just curious.
Has anyone else got a 2.2 auto with lpg.

If the gearchange is different on LPG it sounds like the problem is with the LPG system. If the LPG fuelling is out or not working properly for some reason the petrol ECU might be reporting a higher than true level of engine load to the autobox, which delays the shift in response.

If its down on power, the autobox doesn't know this, and will hold a too higher gear (the normal gear it would hold if engine was fine) until accelerator down enough for the box to drop it a cog.

The solution is to investigate why its so down on LPG power...

Is it noticably down on power on LPG (LPG normally slightly down on power)? If so, the LPG needs looking at (probably by specialist if you are not too sure about it)
