I am considering conversion from Automatic to Manual gerabox.
What do I need to have to do it in Estate 2.0 99 (B FL - first face lifting, matt wood interior, cruise control).
All I know for the moment:
1. Manual gearbox.
2. Brake and clutch pedal + Cruise Controll sensors
3. Flyweel
4. Clutch
what else?

And few more questions:
- Do I need new drive shatft?
- Do I need new diff? (is it hard to replace it)
- What about the gear lewer and plastic "wood" around it? Do I need a new one?
- clutchs servo is conected to brake fluid container. Do I need any special hoses?
- what about radiator. It's different in manual. Can I just leave the oil side empty?

Is anyone selling a conversion set for my Omega at the moment?

Radiator is different, because it includes a oil cooler for autos. This would need to be drained & sealed.

It will drain when you remove the auto box, but, it doesn't need to be sealed .

In fact, if you follow the standard advice of looping the oil pipes back at the gearbox end when removing the auto then its job complete from that persepctive.

Good point did not think of that, just being tidy i guess sealing it. Incase you want to convert it back again, keep road/engine dirt out of the cooler.

What about the diif? Is it different? Is it hard to replace it?

I think the 2.0 diff is the same ratio for auto and manual.

When I converted mine, I had a donor car. The parts from which I took were:

Gearbox
Flywheel
Prop shaft
Pedalbox
Clutch Master cylinder
Master cylinder to gearbox pipe (Both halves)

I left the gear stick and gearbox cradle bracket still attached to the gearbox when it was removed for ease of fitment.

Also when you park up the car to be converted, put the car into Park. The selector switch needs so removed from the autobox but still attached to the wiring loom otherwise the car will not start. If the car will still not start, turn the plastic peg on inside the selector switch where it joins the autobox all the way as far as it will go and try to start  the car, if it does'nt, the turn the peg fully the other way. Basically what your doing is putting the selector switch into park.

I have a complete set up from a 3.0, dont know what would be different though?

It's good to hear that, but I think that the bellhousing will be different. Then, the diff.
I don't know anything about manual gearbox but isn't it different?
