Put back in first then cant get front in even put front in but can not get back in destroyed one rubber boot on wishbone already even with plastic shroud on can lever back in but front no way, tried jacking strut up still no good .had a read on maintenance guide but didn't shed any light. Try a pair of spring compressors, it makes the job much easier ;)

i always found it easier if you fit the front bush first bolt in & nut on loose, then if you line the rear bush up holding the strut out of the way & force the balljoint end of the wishbone towards the rear of the car & the rear bush just pops in. If it goes in too far you can always get a big screwdriver into the lower hole & ease the rear bush into position so you can drop the bolt in from above, another pair of hands can make life easier

Hi,

Have you cleaned the mating faces of the frame into which the bushes fit? got to get them real clean then smear copper slip over both faces and also the steel insert on the bushes.

Any slight bit of muck in that area and it's easy to lock the bush solid and wonky.
