I have to agree with TB, I had a pattern part Cam sensor and have had nothing but trouble with it.

I get P0340, P1700 faults all the time and have to try twice  to start the car!

Getting a Genuine Vauxhall sensor part No 90520850
IIRC.

Good Luck, these 2.2's are a real pain with the cam sensors, I think it could be due to the cable routing around the hot engine that causes heat to distort the sensitive signals to ECU.
