Accelerator cable info needed
« on: 29 April 2008, 10:58:37 »

Just done my cam cover gaskets
No fault codes, will not very well accelerate.
the accelerator peddle seems lower down

Think I may have put the clip on the cable outer in the wrong place
Can  any one tell me which side of the rubber grommet it goes please?

Behind.  Set it so the cable has only small slack in it.

Yep, I've put it the wrong side.
Will move it when stops raining.

Thanks

Thanks . Back to normal fingers crossed. Just hope seals don't leak.

Like to know how to remove cable tray -  it would have  been a lot easier if knew how ?

Its an absolute *** ... use a very small screwdriver, and be gentle, work from one end around the edge .. takes a while .. but it is worth doing if changing the cam cover gaskets ... I know .. the hard way !!!
