Sunroof not working
« on: 03 May 2008, 08:07:15 »

The sunroof just doesn't work at all. No motor noise or anything, just dead. Also, it's stuck partly open.

First priority would be to get it closed, then ideally to get it working.

The cause may be that the battery was replaced (I've read some things on here about needing to reset the sunroof but didn't understand), or of course the sunroof may be the cause of the battery problem.

The fuse (25) is OK.

PS: 00 facelift Omega CDX with 2.5 engine

Thanks for your help.

you can reset it by rotating the knob to the tilt postition, and then pushing it upwards. do the same for the slide-back as well. new battery makes it forget the end limits. probably have to do the same for the windows.

As stated but you need to reset in all 3 main positions i.e. full tilt, full slide and closed...this will reset the sunroof...just put in the relevant position and push up the knob until it goes into its reset motion (couple of seconds most likely) you may also need to reset the electric windows too although I cant for the life of me remember how atm lol

electric windows.... just hold the button down until the window hits the bottom, then do it the other way to the top. you may have to repeat this once more, then it will remember. repeat for all 4 windows.
