EGR Valve Blanking.

Hi,
   Could someone please explain the PROs & CONs of blanking off the EGR Valve?

Cons - NOx emissions will increase but, this is not part of an MOT test. In theory it might affect economy but, the amount of EGR used on the V6 is small so this is unlikely to happen.

Pros - Fixes an small leaks around the EGR valve base, can help throttle response slightly when accelerating from a cruising speed (the EGR valve no longer needs to shut!)

   Thanks for that Mark.

 I'm about to put it all back together after doing the breathers and camcover gaskets  so will blank it off and let you know the outcome.
