green cam cover selant

I have been given green selant for my cam covers by my local vx parts center, but in the how to do you cam covers it recomends black
selant.
where do you get it.

This sadly is a common occurance.

The green sealent is for the front cam CAPS and not the cam covers and hence is NOT what you need.

The black sealent is available from Vx, check the maintenance guide for the part number.

common mistake, as it appears on same page as gaskets on EPC...

hold my head in my hands.............. you need 90485251. The green sealant was the sealant for the cam carrier to cylinder head on the 8v engines. Your dealer must of had it in stock for a while as the green has changed to a pink sealant  a while back
