alarm does nothing !!!

 >:( Hi guys just joined and I have a problem with a customers 96 omega 20l cdx. The alarm appears to have a problem, pressing the key fob does nothing (new batt fitted) flashers work but no alarm or sound. Flashers go off wheh the car is started, any ideas.

Its just had the head gasket done and i got a new rad (112.50) for it as the old one was blocked .

On mine there is no sound when setting/unsetting the alarm .. just the single flash. You may need to resynch the key fob

Insert into ignition, switch on but do not start. Press lock, unlock, lock, unlock. remove key.

To test the alarm ... open window, lock car and set alarm, insert arm through window and wave about, or try and unlock the car manually.....

If/When alarm sounds .. cancel using keyfob ....

Sounds as if power sounder and horn disconnected to stop alarm constantly going off when the door is opened...
