Estate Rear load cover

Have just bought a rear load cover for an Omega Estate off Ebay. rods seem too wide to fit my Omega. man at garage reckoned all covers same for all pre face lifts. MY car is a T reg 1999 3.0 Estate, the cover came off according to the seller a R reg 97 cdx. Am I totally incompetant, or are the covers a different width. It seems the cover is about 1 to 1.5 cm too wide.

Mini facelift (which yours will be as its 98-99) has different load cover to models before then...your not going senile...they are different and wont fit...
