lumpy when hot started..
« on: 04 June 2008, 21:53:49 »

Hi Guys,

Wonder if i may pick your brains for a few mins please?  Ive scanned OOF for info on my problem but i can't seem to nail it!

CAR: 2.6 MV6, 52 plate on 85k, LPG

Car has run spot on ever since i got it a few years back but just recently when i restart the car when the engine is hot, tickover seems very lumpy.  The revs drop to 400 then upto 550, the back again.  Car seems to drive ok when the revs hit 1k and above.  LPG and petrol seem both the same so i know it's not the LPG install.

Plugs have been in for 20k miles, so not too sure if they are breaking down?  I took a look at them at the weekend and they looked ok with  light brown color.  Base of the thread was a bit black, but the white part in the midde along with the sparky bits were brown.

Any ideas?

Many thanks!
