Coolant level sensor sticking
« on: 11 June 2008, 16:01:43 »

Ever since I gave the mig a dose of forte degreaser, I've had "Coolant level" in the display.
I can free it with a tap from a screwdriver & the message clears, but as soon as the car gets up to pressure & temp, the message reappears.

Has anybody else experienced this & managed to free it up again?
Or is it another trip to the dealers?

mine occasional sticks as well but it clears and stays off for ages.
If it becomes more of a problem i might change it but for now its not a major issue as I check it regularly anyway out of habit from having a ford previously

I seem to remember someone saying they had cleaned/unstuck theirs with a houshold descaler ... might be worth a try ??? Don't take long to remove it after all ..  :)

I just disconnected mine - I check the fluids very regularly anyway.
