Chafed pipe on engine rear ?
« on: 23 July 2008, 16:35:26 »

I have ordered a new Heater Bypass Valve as recommended for being the probable cause of the small water leak I have from the rear of the engine block. Apparently it is known weak point on this engine and so I intend to change it for safety. I plan to sort it this weekend but can anyone inform me if there is a metal pipe that runs down the rear of the engine that is known to either corrode or chafe through? All original fixings are in place as the engine has never been removed or seen major dismantling work in that area.
I already know that my knuckles will suffer!
