EGR Valve and missfires
« on: 12 August 2008, 14:30:22 »

Just paperclipped my new (to me anyway) barge and code 129 has come up which according to the list on this site is

Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Valve Feedback Voltage Low

Would this cause any sort of misfire?

The car has a slight misfire at low revs but seems ok above 2k.  If i keep it in sports mode when driving it doesn't really casue me any problems.

I bought the car knowing it had a misfire and apart from this the car is pretty much spotless.

Just had my written off omega delivered back to me too so have no shortage of spares :)

if the egr is leaking, that may affect things.

Swap egr over, see if that cures, if not (and no stored codes), attack the HT side.
