Battery advice
« on: 07 September 2008, 16:44:00 »

I wonder if anyone can help.  I am in need of a new battery for my V6 facelift.  The original is 5 years old and has just gone into 'won't hold a charge' mode, even if I charge it off the car for 24 hours, after disconnecting the charger the battery voltage falls way to about 10.8 volts whilst the green charge indicator is showing.  I think I have a bad cell.  Anyway, happy to replace it, need to know which one is best to have and how much I should be looking at paying.  I live in Oxford and have a few main stealers near me, but would like to get near trade price if at all possible.  All help and advice very welcome.

Thanks

I think the best option is  Vx Go battery on Trade Club  :y

2.6 V6 - 65mp/hr Part Number - 93189923
Retail - £60.00
Normal Trade - £54.91
Trade Club - £44.40

Mmmmm not sure how old those prices are think there as been an increase recently I just bought 65AH battery from local Stealers price was:
Retail - 61.00+vat
With Trade club card was £61 less 25.75% = £45.29+ vat =£53.22 !!

I suppose dealers prices may differ though .
