Seat adjustment.
« on: 08 September 2008, 22:24:37 »

Why does my driver's seat only go about half way along the track towards the front of the car? There doesn't appear to be an obstruction.

Look very very carefully down beside the seatbelt attchment on the "tunnel" side ... there is a small gap in the top runner and you "should" be able to see the runners clearly ...... on two occassions now I have had small coins fall from my pocket (I assume) and drop straight into that gap, they then jam the mechanism.

On the old miggy I had to remove the seat to get them out as they were well bent - due to numerous attempts to move the seat !! Now I know the problem as soon as it sticks I check ...

I found one of those springy extension things with 3 extending wire prongs that stick out when you press the top eventually was able to grab the edge of the coin and lift it out ... fiddly but easier than removing the seat.

I'll try that in the morning when I can see what I am doing. Thanks for the very quick reply!
