Cam cover gasket on X20XEV
« on: 21 September 2008, 22:23:26 »

Changed the gasket this evening. Couldn`t see plug tops, wells full right up with oil. Managed to get first three plugs out but couldn`t shift the back plug. Gave everything good clean incl. breathers and ICV fitted new gasket and re-fitted all. What`s the best stufff to use to try and ease off the thread on the spark plug. They goota be changed at some stage :-/

nice bit of elbow greece i reckon, if its had a good soaking in oil. Some guys on here swear by plus gas. Not heard of being used on a plug though, does it look like its in straight? Maybe cross threaded?

Yes, plugs in straight. Don`t wanna use too much force in case it snaps :(
