help abs light on

light has decided to come on grr...

iv had the front pads n discs done tho the guy that done them disconnected the sensors for the computer?

they wer in bad nick aswell...

could the light be on if the back needs doing now aswell??

this is on the wifes 2 ltr by the ways...

thanx if anyone can help....

sorry....

i had the front pads and discs replaced for the mot as they wer seriously corroded.. when the guy fitted them he  disconnected and taped up the wires for the sensors so now i have no brake warnings on the screen...  

still now they squeek...

anyway the abs light has come on ?

would that be because the back pads need doing?

or something else?

Ah, thats better.

Squeaking brakes - fitter is a muppet

No brake pad warnings - he has shorted the cable, rather than replace wear sensors? If so, fitter is a muppet.

ABS, seeing as he is clearly a muppet, I would look for damage on the ABS wires on front.

this is what gets on my nerves.....

im glad mark has put me in the direction of a resectable mechanic..

there hard to find...

even small jobs in no good at really so a lil trip to the garage i think..

esp before the wife has our baby.... :y

Agree with TB fitter is a muppet
Also get your self some brake cleaner and sray the wheel speed sensor in the back plate as there maybe a lot of brake dust build up on the sensor it self. ;)
