Does this sound like an ICV problem?
« on: 28 October 2008, 13:35:03 »

Hi all, a newbie with no ideas about cars here. My Opel 2.0 GLS (left hand drive cos I live in Norway) has had a problem since I bought it 4 months ago where it has been randomly cutting out every now and again when I have come to a stop. :-/
After reading some of the posts I was wondering if this could be a ICV problem? If so what would be the best thing to do?
Any help greatly appreciated.

Wouldn`t hurt to give the breather system a good clean. Look here :y

Sounds like the IACV is sticking, it probably just needs a clean and a drop of thin oil to lubricate it but you should also clean the throttle body and throttle disc and also clean out the large and small breathers.
Look in the Maintenance Guide section for a how-to.
