Right i've finally got it into a grage for the repair, the mechanic says it is a full day of a job and he needs a special glue to fit the oil cooler. Is it really a full day of a job? Oh and luckily the HG hasn't gone it was just a blocked radiator and the thermostat had seized to function!

Vauxhall grey sealant must be used and yes it is time cosuming as you hsve to remove all plenum etc above not sure on all day though? :-/

Wow been to look at the car today in bits! Never seen so much chocolate in my life and it is just everywhere! In hindsight i definitly recommend that nobody drives their car with a failed oil cooler! I now need a new radiator, hbv and loads of pipes! (and we're changing the timing belt whilst we're in there, why not!)

I heard a whirring noise coming from the back (think its a wheel bearing) is it worth repairing this at the same time and is it a hard job? Also i seem to have misplaced my locking wheel nut kit! Oops, any ideas how to get them off?

Thanks for all your help i'm finally getting my problematic omega sorted, I hope i won't run into anymore problems after this as in total i am spending about 500 quid!

That radiator should flush out with no major problems.

Can get the cam belt kit for £85 plus £6 delivery original vauxhall! Found a guy on fleabay who just sells vauxhall parts, his shop is called vauxhall parts warehouse. Seems to be cheap on everything ordered my oil cooler and thermostat from him and it was all original gm stuff.
