I think a lot of people get confuesed and assume a car is overheating the second the radiator fan kicks in! Which on the V6 lumps is fairly quickly.

My gran did anyway last summer when I was doing something with her fiesta... It was sat ticking over in the garage for a while, and as she came in to see whats happening the fan came on, and she was flapping about saying 'its overheating turn it off quickly'  :P

Well just to let you all know from experiance the omega does not overheat when towing a caravan. My 3.0ltr has had a problem with the thermostat not working and in the summer of this year (2008) the temp needle went upto the highest point before the red and the fans cooled the rad down no problem.

Anyway there is a how to on replacing the termostat on the V6 which I wrote out and which is waiting to go into the howto section, (when admin sort it out  :) ) but here is the link:

http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1229464811

Follow it with ease. Now I replaced my thermostat myself with no help and it was a doddle, so if I can do it you can too.
