Bl**dy useless vauxhall
« on: 07 January 2009, 08:19:06 »

Over two weeks ago I ordered all the gaskets and bits and pieces to change everything needed whilst doing my drivers side exhaust manifold through my local vx.

Everything was there within a few days apart from the gasket(s) for the secondary air intake which I was promised wouldnt take long. Well after a few phone calls including 3 yesterday, I get told there is none within the group in the U.K and the earliest they can be got will be the 29th of this month.

Will I be ok to go without these and use the old ones as if it starts getting noisier if a seal does go, I will just unplug it as others have done?   :-/

TIA  :y

I ordered the little half turn fasteners that hold the plastic scuttle down from my dealer months ago. Was told they'd to come from Germany as there are none in the UK. After calling into the dealers local to work I came out with half a dozen of them!
I keep asking at my dealer though ......  ::)

Dont worry about the SAI gaskets, you can re-use the old ones without issue.

As long as its tightened down firmley there will be no issue, at least there aint no fluids that can leak out!  :)
