dunno if anyone can help i was driving along today when my auto gearbox fault light came on ?

gearbox ecu detected a fault.

what were symptoms, other than having to drive in limp?

symptoms were lack of power didnt notice anything else pulled over and switched off engine it restarted no probs and no light

Any excessive slip before light came on? Light still on now?

yes now u mention it , there was a rise in rpm hence slip

hmmmm. Probably worth changing atf, though if you're near someone who can read gearbox codes, that may be useful
