Trouble is that HID's have a start up / warm up period that makes them unsuitable for main beam use unless they are on all the time and a set of blinkers / eyelids (As per some Audi's and BMW's) are fitted.

Foglights have been done before - look up a post in the gallery from user CaterraV6

can't put hids in full beam legally on omega. cars that do have hid full beam (very few) use shutter mechanisms so light is always on

Ebay / any good car accessory shop for the Nightbreakers. eBay for the HID kit but not sure which one you would need as there is very limited space in the foglight enclosure.

You have a problem if your full beam isn't up to scratch - Omega has a pretty reasonable full beam.

HIDs cannot be legally used as fogs on the Omega either.  But, to be honest, the number of days during the life of the car that they can actually be properly used, it wouldn't be worth the effort anyway.

TB beat me to it...now main beam, yes if you dont have HID's they really arent much cop no matter what...but the full beam, certainly on mine you could see a small toad from 2 miles away when they are on full beam!

You can get xenon, or whiter bulbs for about £7 from Ebay - the foglights aren't designed for any use other than fog, so unless you're doing as I did and taking some "arty" photos, there's no need for them...
I can heartily recommend the +80 Philips bulbs though, got them in my winterbox and they're brilliant.
