Cleaning the head
« on: 16 February 2009, 20:06:16 »

Hi all

Is it safe to clean the cylinder head with wire wool? Or do I need a proper scraper?

NOPE!

Which bit of the head?

The steel in the wire wool will get into the alloy and rust!

Yep, a sharp scraper to remove the old material and then very fine emery.
