Not really worth it - the V6 is a better engine and someone on this forum gets 38mpg out of his

But he drives like grandad.  And its a manual.

If I drive like grandad in my 3.0 auto, I reckon I could easily get low 30s on his commute.

I think I'll stick to bombing around and 20mpg on LPG (town then country lanes - lots of fast slow)

Easier to put Elite trim into a lower spec diesel.
