FRONT END NOISES

Hi my 99 2.0 cd has a noise comeing from the front end when going in a straight line and turning right it goes away when i turn left
its a bump bump sound that you cant realy hear at low speed but gets worse as you go faster and then again when you brake

any help would be greatful
 :(

Drop links?  

These are cheap & easy to change.  If this doesn't cure it need to look elsewhere - wishbones? steering idler etc?
