bmw diesel question

does any body know what part of the injector pump needs to be swaped for the imobilser swaped the engine i know it somthing to do with the pump but dont know which  part ?  any help please

Not sure on this Rob, but I'm thinking it's ECU-related .......

I'd reckon on Omegatoy or TheBoy being the best people to deal with.

hmm not to sure exact;y what you mean, I think you mean you have swapped engines??
there are two different types of pumps and the management system of say an early one wont drive a late pump or vice versa,
immobilisor is in ecu as said unless its an early one with if which the imobis up behind the glovebox?

thanks for all you imput people after lots of swearing and a bleeding knuckle got the security bolt out the top of the injection pump swaped the tops over and hey presto she be purring away dont want to do another to soon back to better engines tomorrow got to service a pair of volvo v10 710hp in a 70 ft power boat  :y :y
