Engine Start up
« on: 22 March 2009, 15:48:34 »

Hi All

Not been on for a while due to work etc.  But I need some advise I've started to notice that when I start the miggy from cold there's a puff of blue smoke is this normal for a 2.6 v6 or should I be investigating further.

Cheers  :)

Some members have had problems with valve stem seals fitted to early 2.6 engines so it's a known issue but not that easily rectified, unfortunately.

seals can become brittle but changing to good quality 15/40 mineral oil such as tex havoline can make a big difference - its only 9 quid at morrisons
