Engine temperature/fans on a 2.5
« on: 07 April 2009, 19:55:52 »

My 2.5 CDX seems to run hotter than I'd expect. It never overheats but will get up to 100° in traffic then go between there and 95°. Maybe the fuse for the fans (I never seem to hear the fans kick in), are they under the cover near the battery?

If not maybe just a radiaitor flush required!

slow speed fans at just above midpoint. High speed fans by around 97/98C.

Fuses in relay box by battery. Rad switch under top hose

My facelift 2.5 has 3 fans. Two on the outside of the rad for the climate control, one inside the rad.

I had one duff fan on the outside and my temperature was never very stable. Fixed the fan and now when the climate is on the car temp is rock solid at 85C.
