2.6 retro cruise

Can i fit a cruise control to my 2002 2.6 manual if so what do i need and how do i fit it

You'll need the indicator stalk with the buttons on, probably a clutch switch, and it needs to be enabled using a Tech 2.

i think there is a connector under the bonnet on the passenger side
if you aint got that connector you can't have cruise control

no - the 2.6 is DBW which means that the cruise software in the ECU drives the servo motor on the throttle body.  On the 2.5/3.0 there is no servo but a traditional throttle cable.  This set up needs an actuator and the multiplug to drive the actuator.

To clarify some of the misdirection on this thread, on 2.6, you **may** need clutch switch (check if one already fitted, a 4 wire cruise stalk, and a quick program with a (real) Tech2.

And as I work in Coventry then Tech2 access should be reasonably easy to arrange

how can i tell if clutch switch is already fitted

HI JUST CHECKED and cant see clutch switch on the pedal ,( is it like the brake light switch ) can i fit one is the wiring there as standard

Wiring should be there - normally taped up to part of loom.

For some reason the clutch switches now cost 20+quid!

I have a stalk available (only 20K miles old)

The Omega ones always were stupidly expensive - seem to recall a few years ago that they were £15 + VAT....

IF I GET A CLUTCH SWITCH how do ifit it to the clutch pedal
