you can reset alarm by holding down bonnet switch for approx 10 seconds then release.

if your not sure if it works leave window open lock the car wait 30 seconds or so then lean in too the car the and wave your arms about abit (yes you will look silly doing it) alarm should sound

dont know about the 4 beeps though mate

4 beeps is power sounder low voltage, the batteries are failing .. :(  next will be many spurious alarms as the batteries really fail, possibly followed by a fire if they leak "goo" onto the permanantly live wire that detects the presence of normal car battery .. it is the removal of this power that the power sounder is set to detect ...  :(

Best solution, short term, is to remove the sounder .. its a 15 minute job.

How to in the Guides section .. :)

As already been said, it will certainly be you're power sounder.

I removed mine, as they are about £60 for a new one, and the alarm still has it's own seperate horn for the siren anyway.

To remove or change it.  Remove the drivers side wiper arm and unscrew the plastic tray bellow the wiper arm, just enough to peel it back.
Its tight, but you should be able to unscrew the power sounder from it's bracket and unplug it's electrical connector, before squeezing the power sounder out. (The power sounder alarm may sound for a few minutes after removing - Mine did'nt).
If you are not putting a new one on, make sure you wrap the connector up well with insulation tape, before you tuck it away!!

I have had no problems since removing mine.  If you leave it too long, you're alarm may start to go off on occasions.  The 4 beeps are a warning that the built in battery is on it's way out :y
