engine warning light when started from cold

hiya,
 2.2 dti
5 seconds after started in the morning the engine warning comes , it goes off after the car is reved for a couple of seconds or when driven off.
 any ideas?

You need someone with a code reader to tell you the codes ideally. There isn't a way of getting the codes on the 2.2DTi without a reader.

My 2.2 Diesel Elite did the same, just had to wait between inserting the key and turning it, almost as if there were 'glowplugs'.
I had no other problems over 30k miles.
