Passenger side Carpet wet!!!
« on: 13 June 2009, 13:04:56 »

Should there be a drain in the scuttle under the pollen filter? Mine has filled up with rain water while parked in the heavy rain and over-flowed into the cabin and soaked the passenger side carpet.

Thanks

Brian

I'd lift up the carpet if I were you. You don't need to take it right out. The sound deading underneath it can soak up huge quantities of water ...... been there etc etc

If you can get your hands on a de-humidifier place it in the cabin and choose a nice hot sunny day it wont take long to dry out

Managed to get most of the water out of the carpets with the vax's. Will be keeping my eye on it from now.
Should of stuck with my 97 Elite, no problems in 10 years.

I had the same problem, took a week with a de-humidifier and fan heater to dry out, but that was in winter, got there in the end
