ECU fault code clearing and emmissions light
« on: 07 July 2009, 07:53:35 »

Hi, I had a small but significant problem last week.  I lost one cylinder coming through the roadworks on the M25, just intermittently at first but then altogether.  Anyway, got the fault code as P0206 - injector 6 fault, so went digging in the wiring loom as I have just had an LPG conversion done and although it looked very neat the muppet that did the wiring had not soldered the no6 injector output from the petrol ECU to the input to the LPG ECU.  I twisted them together and bingo all is well again.  (Soldered it later on at home.) Anyway the emmissions light was still on but the car was NOT in limp-home mode and economy was OK.  I carried on for two more starts and on the third start the light went out.  Is this supposed to happen or should I get a Tech2 clearing of the fault code or is it all OK now?
Car runs fine on petrol and gas and is still doing around 33MPG petrol, 26ish gas, so all seems well.
I'm just bit in the dark about knowing whether it is all Ok to just leave now or if I still need to do something more.
