Rear seat belts .....
« on: 29 July 2009, 17:49:26 »

Apart from the centre belt, does anyone know if the rear seatbelts are the same on the saloon an estate?

I'm changing interiors in my estate from light grey cloth to black leather from a saloon. I've got a new black centre lap belt, but need to know whether I can re-use my outside black belts from the saloon or whether I need to get black outers from an estate as well.

Thanks in anticipation.

Remove them both & compare .... I'd be surprised if they were though. Surely though, you can remove them from the black interior estate when you take its rear seats .... saloon & estate rear seats are different.  ;)

The belts in the estate are grey - which will look silly with black leather seats.

I'll have to negotiate separately for the outer black estate belts.

Mind you, I can compare the length of the grey estate belts with the black saloon ones. Thanks for the idea!

I agree, knew why you wanted the black belts.

There must be grounds for negotiations on the price of both seats AND belts!  ;)  ;)  ;)  :y

unrelated, but make sure the front seats have the side airbags.  You'd be surprised how many people fall foul of that.

Noted & thanks..........

There isn't much scope for negotiation I'm afraid as the seats and belts ar from different places!

is it worth the expense/effort?  Lets face it, Elite leather is pretty naff looking, and you have the hassle of the heat in summer (what summer?) and freezing your nads off in the winter...
