O2 Sensor Problem?

A couple of times in the past 3 months I have found that I have had a stored fault 0150  O2 Sensor (Bank 2 Sensor 1) that has been stored by the ECU. I have come across this whilst checking with my code reader for a fuel trim prob whilst running on LPG.
Thing is, what is this about (is it one of the Lamda's bringing this up) and as it is only a stored code and has not bought up the EML should I be too worried about it. As a thicky as far as this sort of thing goes I would be grateful if some of you cleverer guys than me can throw some light on this.

O2 sensor fault codes are a common problem with certain engine variants (2.6, 3.0 and 3.2 I think). I assume your EML light is also on? Even replacing the sensor won't permanently cure the problem as the sensors are located at the pre-cats which aren't up to the job on these engines. AFAIK the only "proper" cure is to have the sensors moved further down past the main cats. I've had the same problem on mine for around a year and have got used to the EML being on all the time. ::)

Its not bringing up the EML at the moment and is only on one bank at the mo. I did wonder whether this was the start of the known prob with the pre cats on a 3.2.

If it is, I suspect your EML will come on at some point.
However, a more knowledgeable member might be able to give you more info in case it's not due to the "known" problem. :-/

P0150 relates to lack of response of the Lambda sensor rather than an emissions issue. If the EML is not on I would imagine the code is a stored fault rather than a current one.
