Will these tyres go on my rims?
« on: 12 August 2009, 22:05:25 »

Quick and easy.  I have the standard 15" rims on my 97 Miggy, and have seen some tyres for sale.

Theyre Dunlop SP Sport 195/50/15 82v.  Will these go onto my standard wheels?

Cheers!

PS.  I run this car summer and winter, the dude has these marked as summer tyres.  Does anyone know how good these tyres are in the wet/cold?

The tyres will fit on your rims, but your speedo will be over-reading by 9.2% (when your speedo says 60, you will actually be travelling at 54.5 mph).

Mmm thatd be an irritation.  So my car is set up for 65 profile wheels I guess?  In all fairness I do generally bimble about a little above what I oughtta...

Many thanks buddy :)  I'll have a think about them with that in mind.

I'm thinking that for the cost, I may as well renew all 4 tyres.  Im running Dunlop Sports all round and theyre useless in the wet.

Does anyone know much about Enduro, Hero or Sonar brand tyres?  Theyre all HR rated.  Would they be better than the junky Dunlop SP Sports I have on now?  They are all 195 wide.

Failing that, I can get Nexen 205s 94H for not a lot more.
