climate control only has heat on one side
« on: 14 September 2009, 09:33:49 »

When I put the heat on, it works fine on the drivers side but only blows cold on the passenger side.  When I first got the car, the things that drain out rain water from where the pollen filter sits, were totally blocked and the whole thing was like a fish tank. water was getting through the pollen filter, through the blower and into the passenger footwell.

obviously, I've cleaned out the vents and got rid of the water but I'm wondering if some valve or something may be seized due to being submerged.  I can hear servos trying to work when I have the ignition on or if I try to reset the climate controls so its trying to do something.  I just don't know what may be stuck, where it is or how to unstick it.  I'd be grateful for any advice because I'm no mechanic :)

Thanks for that. I'll give it a go and see what happens  :)
