Where is best for a cambelt kit?

Now that i have a garage i'm going to do the long overdue cambelt change. Been looking at the guides and going to order the DVD to help me an all.

So where is best to get a whole kit from then? Vauxhall, or Autovaux or the like? Also need a DIS pack at the same time but unsure whether its oval or round plugs i have? Forgot to check when i did the leads and cam cover gaskets.

Chassis number is: WOLOVBM69X1111418

Also any recommendations where to get all the special tools that i'll need?

Think thats all the questions i have for now.

normally find that the maf plug tends to be the same shape as the dis unit  :y

Any reputable belt kit will be OK (Gates, SKF, GM, Contitech). Autovaux were supplying SKF kits last time I bought one. It needs to be the complete kit with all tensioner rollers. You will also need a locking kit. Maybe there are other members in NI who could loan you one?

Spot on, cheers lads.

I'll have a look at the MAF plug tomorrow morning then  :)

Seen the kits on ebay and wasnt sure of their reputation, but i'll go and google the ones you listed now.

Where's the engine number then so i can see what kit i need?  :-?

How do i know which kit i need though as its listing 10 different kits lol. I'm guessing its to do with my engine number, so where do i look for it at?

Now that i've got rid of the Skyline i'm only just getting to know the Omega now you see  :o

No DVD's left in the shop, so i'm just going to have to use the Haynes manual and the guides on here to do it now, but i'm looking forward to getting stuck in  ;D

Hmm. IIRC my Haynes manual doesn't cover setting the timing accurately. You'll usually get some better instructions with the kit. :y
