heating problem
« on: 21 December 2009, 16:14:59 »

hi all.

i started my motor this morning after 3 weeks of not running it(spinal op) and it has developed a few faults, the main one being it wont demist the passenger side of the screen.
its blowing freezing cold no matter what the climate control is set to, the rest of the system is running nice and warm.
the other thing is that the passenger seat has stopped heating up but the drivers side is fine. any ideas :(

would think it was the servo on passide stuck or blocked, or could be the fuse check fuse's may sort both problems out.

On the heater only blowing cold in one area ....  this might help as it seems to describe your problem...  :)

The seat is either a fuse or the thing has burned out .. not an uncommon problem .. :(

Hi

I also have the same issue but other way around so i drive to work trying to look out of the passenger side as the drivers side takes aaaages to demist.

I have followed the instructions in the posted thread above but found the arm still attached to the servo and moving up and down as it should so i was hoping someone had found another possibility.

I was wondering if whatever is on the other end of the arm attached to the servo is actually stuck? the belnd flap thing perhaps but i've no idea how to get to it??

Any ideas?

Cheers
Dan

there is a guide to get to the servos, says need to take the underneath the glove box 2 plastic screws(black part were foot vents are) put pass seat down and full back, says you can get to them from there.
