As you've removed bonnet switch try shorting out the two terminals the switch connects to - this worked for me on a Rover with a faulty bonnet switch.

HTH  :y

Shorting out the 2 terminals will NOT work as that is the same (electrically) as the bonnet being open. If the switch is removed/disconnected then that's the same (electrically) as the bonnet remaining shut

Well so far power sounder is disconnected, bonnet switch is disconnected and have tried the internal sensors turn off method, alarm still sounding so have been locking car as per Iain's method which has given us 24hours of peace and I'm back in the good books with the wife!
Will clean all door switches again soon and try then

Is it an estate? Check rear window breakage sensors.

Failing that, how far is it to Hotel21, who has a code reader capable of interoogating alarm ecu to find why its going off.

Hi ya.
This sounds like a problem I had.  Even had the alram going off when I as driving once or twice.  I did get a solution so you might like to try this.

The alarm in mine has a siren and a horn buried under the scuttle panel on the offside.  If you take it out you will see a large block shaped thing comes with it.  This contains, among other things. a couple of AA rechargable batteries.  Over time these degrade and become unreliable with the result that the charge when the car is running but the charge drains out quite quickly thereafter.  Once the charge drops below a trigger level the alarm system senses it and triggers the alarm.  A temporary solution is to remove the whole unit.  Certainly cured the problem with mine

Hope you get a solution.
