First impressions 2.5 cd estate
« on: 02 February 2010, 10:55:50 »

First off, thanks for all the hello's on the new member bit, very welcoming  :y

Took the "new" estate for a spin last night, not far, but seems generally ok.  :-/

2 things i noticed, steering feels a bit vague and woolly, like there some play around the centre postion, but cant feel any looseness through the wheel, tyres maybe ? Not a matched pair and havent checked pressures yet.
Also brakes work fine, pulls up nice and straight, but feel a bit dead, not much bite.
Might just be being fussy, not driven an Omega before, or many vx's for that matter.

Any advice from the sages on here welcome!

By the way, its april 1998 reg and 120000 miles, some service history, and its massive inside !!

Cheers

I suspect the lack of response is that your post is a bit non-specific. I suggest you check the tyre pressures, then ask for help on specific items, eg: Brakes feel spongy.

also, any recommended spares suppliers local to me (s e wales). will be buying plugs, filters, oil, brake fluid and pads, anti freeze etc, would rather spend the money with a trusted company  :)

Suggest you join this club (£20 p.a.) and get a "Trade Club" card (TC) you will get your money back with your first purchase from a VX dealer http://www.autobahnstormers.org/site.asp
