yes me thinks crank sensless as well but i will look at the pack as well.

ive seen a lot of stuff but not a rusty one. plus all the one's ive seen are bacolite.

right update.!
 plenums off, scuttle off. down pipe off, fiter housing off, slacken cooler pipes(block ones) remove crank sensor (tie piece off wire to plug) seems to be a lot of oil under here lets check cam cover gaskets, remove plug leads from lh bank ooh lots of oil. dwn to the factors buy gaskets and oil go home time for a cuppa. refit crank sensor piggin job refit down pipe, refit filter housing time to do cam covers. intake off undo all the vac pipes, remove cam covers more ooh loads oil, clean old rtv off. take new gaskets out of packets!
  then lots off swearing" weres the kin O RINGS"phone the factors "SORRY DONT HAVE THOSE" so car sits awaiting 8 LITTLE BITS OF RUBBER. so that be autovaux on monday. another week begging and borrowing cars to get to work. :'(

update again!! all fixed and running sweet :)
   changed crank sensor., cam cover gaskets, new plugs, and oil change.  :y
