omega facelift stereo

hi guys new fault with my car when i put the stereo on it just comes up on display safe what can i do to get round this the previous owner says the code is on the top stereo but i dont know how to put the code in to it any ideas cheers kev

You had the battery disconnected?

Ignition on
turn radio off.
Press & hold AS while you turn the radion on, keepig AS press till you hear a beep.
enter code using the radio channel presets
press & hold AS again till you get a confirmation beep!

thanks again for your help i hadnt tried the stereo til now and found that this safe mode came up battery must have been disconnected by previous keeper thanks kev

Also be cautious when removing the stereo to find code, make sure you use the proper removal keys

does it say SAFE or CDC SAFE? Does the radio still work?

did say safe then put the code in radio works but then did flash up cdc safe ?

SAFE means radio is locked, code gets it working again.

CDC SAFE means there is a failure in the control system for the CD changer....
