« on: 04 March 2010, 21:11:06 »

I've managed the free the bolt that holds the metal pipe, but pipe ant thermostat house seem to be welded.
Any advice from someone who has already had the pleasure to deal with them?

your not going to like this... put the b@stard bolt back in. (transfer pipe bolt)

Worth taking the PAS pump bracket off, and pushing that PAS pipe down for future bettter access.

With the transfer pipe bolt back in, release the bolts on the stat, and wiggle the hell out of it, you really have to go for it.

Before attacking this further, its worth getting a replacement transfer pipe, i used pliers to rotate the transfer pipe, but its brittle, it can crack, worth getting a spare.

You need to get the 2 o-rings anyway for the transfer pipe, which is not part of the stat kit. But you do get them with the transfer pipe  :y
