viscous fan removal

tried to take fan off tonight ha no such luck apart from sore knuckles ;D.
yes I know its a left hand thread I tried to stop the pullley moving and hit the spanner no joy though is there a allen key that goes in the front of the fan to lock it up.
I'm getting close to getting the electric hacksaw out and cutting the bloody thing off ;D ;D

Nope, just a left hand thread. It can be a right pain in the proverbial to remove.
