Could there be any other reason for a high hydrocarbon result from a 'sniff' test ? Would love it if you could cast an eye over it tigers-gonads, don,t suppose you have a known good maf to help me narrow things down ;)

the only known good maf for a 2.2 that i know is sat on the engine of mikes car at autovaux  ;) ;D

cr*p ( some supermarkets )  fuel could cause the hydrocarbons to go up but not totally off the scale but i can't see it causeing the other problems  :(

i can have a look for you next week, no problem but to be honest, if he used the old bolts then i'm 95 % sure thats your problem  :(

pm us your mobile number and i'll have a look for you next week  :y

cheers   steve

Big massive thanks to tigers-gonads for his help and for putting me on to Mike @ Autovaux in Hull. All problems sorted and running like a dream. Just have to say can't fault Autovaux, easily the best garage I've ever used and Mike's knowledge is excellent. :y :y :y
