air vents facing rear seat

are the vents facing the rear seats always supposed to blow cold/cool air? And also what is the black ball thing in the middle of the dash at the bottom of the windscreen? Thank you

Vents will depend on what temp you have the heater set to...  mine blow warm and cold so i dont think they should be cold all the time  .... black thing is i belive the sun sensor for the air con i think  :y

thank you. I still have a small problem which i mentioned in my last topic. Could it be blowing cold because of that. It was suggested a solenoid could be at fault. Could that be causing this? And does anyone have the correct part for my car hanging around or know where to get it for low price and how to change it?
